Our Story

Woof & Wags Dog Daycare is a dog daycare in South Surrey, British Columbia. Andrew Ng and Cara Ng, the owners, began looking after dogs in Hong Kong back in 2003. Starting with dog walking, then offering daycare services in their home. It eventually evolved into a cage-free, in-their-home boarding facility, the first of its kind in Hong Kong!

At the end of November 2020, Andrew relocated to South Surrey. It became apparent that the area was full of dog lovers just like the Ngs. Andrew started walking dogs in the area in February 2021, and by July, his schedule was full with a waiting list. Because of this, they decided to open a new doggie daycare facility. They wanted to give loving care to more pups in the neighbourhood.

They have built a place where pet owners can drop off their dogs for a couple of hours or a full day. They want pet owners to have peace of mind, knowing that their best friends are being loved and cared for. Rest assured that with Woof & Wags Dog Daycare, your animal companions are in good hands!

Meet the Humans Behind Our Family Pet Care Business

Andrew Ng, Owner

A native of Hong Kong, Andrew is known to many as the Hong Kong Dog Whisperer. This is because of his innate understanding of dogs. He loves them, and they love him right back. He's our hands-on guy.

His favourite things to do are getting down and playing with pups. He also loves taking them out for leisurely walks or more energetic jogs. His ability to walk 10-12 dogs at a time is truly astonishing.

Andrew speaks English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.

Cara Ng, Owner

Originally from Saskatoon, Cara spent more than 20 years in Hong Kong. There, she met and married Andrew in 2000. Cara has had dogs much of her life, and she absolutely adores them. She loves the cuddles and playtime with dogs the most. They love her in return!

Julia Carraretto

Julia is our newest memeber of staff. She is a local resident who loves animals. She has a dog of her own and has experience dog sitting and caring for cats in a cat shelter. Welcome to the team!

Riley Ng

Born in Hong Kong, Riley has grown up with a love for animals and an eagerness to help out. She can always be found playing, cuddling, or just hanging out with them. Riley has experience dog walking and pet sitting. She aspires to become a veterinarian after she finishes high school. She helps out in all aspects of Woof & Wags Dog Daycare.

Danica Perry

Danica is the newest addition to the Woof & Wags team. As a dog owner herself, she showers the dogs in her care with the same love and attention she gives her own pup.

Dana Manary

Dana has gained the love of all the animals in her care at Woof & Wags. She is a regular part of our mornings. The dogs love having her as and earlier part of their day.

Our Mission as a Doggie Day Care

Our clean, playful, and welcoming environment is designed for dogs of all sizes! We have specially designed the layout of our premises to separate large and small dogs, all while giving each group as much space as possible to play, sleep, and hang out with their friends. We can even change the size of our enclosures to accommodate the variety of dogs in our care.

Our primary focus is the health, comfort, happiness, and safety of all dogs. We provide them with a specially built doggie playground, which has stairs, ramps, tunnels, fire hydrants, and a large ball "pit". There are many beds, too, for when they need a break from all of the playing. We will ensure your canine companions enjoy their every minute at Woof & Wags Dog Daycare!
